Rachel Gray's wildlife portraits are inspired by her own wildlife photography. Rachel studies, sketches and photographs each animal for as long as they allow her to, soaking up the moment to recreate it onto canvas.

Rachel's work has been exhibited at numerous high-profile events including the Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Canopy hosted by the the British High Commission and a solo exhibition titled; 'Instincts & Experiences' at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia. Rachel Gray's most recent collection of wildlife portraits was created in collaboration with the Embassy of Namibia and embarks on a tour of South-East Asia later this year.

Digital painting is an art form in which traditional painting mediums, such as watercolour, oils, pencils and acrylics, are applied by the means of a computer using a digitising tablet, stylus and software.

It is a type of digital art but it is not “computer-generated” art, in that it does not involve the computer automatically generating an image from mathematical models created by the artist. The artist uses traditional painting techniques to create the image directly on the computer. These include methods such as weight, tone, perspective, light, colour and so on, it is also distinct from digital manipulation of photographs, in that it is an original construction “from scratch”.
